It’s finally time… Applications for the 2026 British Rental Kart Championship are open!
Following the phenomenal success of last year’s event, we’re looking forward to welcoming back some of the best drivers in the world to the UK’s most competitive British Championship.
In January 2026, Milton Keynes will once again be the hosts of BRKC, the official British qualifier to the Kart World Championship. As usual, 100 places are up for grabs.
However – the entry process has changed.
For the first time ever, BRKC 2026 will be an invitation-only event, eliminating the rush to be the first to ‘bag a place’, and ensuring our entry list for 2026 make the grid on solely merit rather than on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.
| What you need to know about the entry process for BRKC 2026:
Should I apply?
Yes! Whilst we’re ensuring the best-of-the-best make the cut, we takes into account a number of different factors, including details about you and your background, as well as your racing CV.
If in doubt, submit an application and avoid the ‘FOMO’ this January. if you’re not invited immediately, you’re automatically added to the reserve list, so you have nothing to lose.
Do early applications get priority?
No. The initial application window is open from the 19th – 26th October 2026. We’ll consider all applications within that window equally, not on a first-come, first-served basis.
However, we start assessing and shortlisting drivers from the 26th October. You may still be able to apply for a reserve place after this time, but you probably won’t be considered for the original shortlist.
Do I pay to apply?
No. Only invited drivers need to pay. They will be given a payment link to confirm their place (payment in instalments available via Klarna). The entry fee for BRKC 2026 is £260.00 (GBP).
Unconfirmed places will be offered to reserve list drivers after 48 hours, if no payment is made.
When do I find out if I’ve made the cut?
The shortlist of invited drivers will be finalised by Sunday 2nd November 2026, with a live ‘Driver Reveal’ taking place that night around 8pm. Invited drivers will be contacted with a payment link to confirm their entry.
The ‘Invited’ names will also be listed on our website. If you haven’t made the shortlist, don’t panic – you are automatically placed on our reserve list, and may be contacted if a place opens up.
